A Rig Site Safety Professional provides safety support for work around oil and gas rigs including gas gathering processes. You must support the client in identifying hazards specific to the industry and providing services to mitigate risks associated with hazards. Risk mitigation support may include, providing training and orientation, use of air monitoring equipment on occasion, and participation in safety meetings on a daily basis.

     Employee may be required to travel on a possible routine basis within the oilfield or may be stationed at one site on a fulltime basis. Prefer that the employee have a strong understanding in drilling, completion, pumping and transmission, and gas gathering operations. Some key safety aspects that this person will be required to oversee is respiratory protection programs and associated equipment, hotwork and fire watch roles and responsibilities, safety permitting, and fall protection on the rigs.

Typical duties associated with a Phoenix RSSP include:

  • Completing PINCS
  • Conducting rig inspections
  • Conducting safety meetings
  • Conducting new employee orientations
  • Manage work permits
  • Ensure a safe working environment
  • Complete JSA's
  • Behavioral Based Safety management
  • Onsite Training
  • Accident Investigation
  • Handle safety at multiple locations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current TWIC Card
  • SafeGulf Trained
  • HM126
  • HUET
  • OSHA 500 or 501 Certification
  • At least 10 years Oilfield Experience
  • At least 5 years Safety Experience
